After going 2-0 in the championship games (and barely losing on the Vikings money line), FJA is hot!
I have been riding Peyton Manning all year long and going against the Saints because I felt they were a bit overrated. Now I am dealing with the Colts giving 5.5 points to the Saints. Logical choice is to stick with the Colts and Peyton. However, I don’t think I can do that.
The decision to pick the Saints does not have to do with the Freeney injury. I just think 6 points is a lot for the Colts to cover. The Colts had a tough time stopping the Jets offense last weekend. We all know the Saints can score quick and has a very good running game. I also think the Saints can play the “keep the wide outs in front” game against the Colts and make Peyton earn his touchdowns. In order for the Saints to win, they must stop the bombs and deep outs.
Super Bowl XLIV will come down to the last possession and clock management. I believe Sean Payton can manage the clock better than Caldwell and Peyton. Even if Sean cannot manage the clock, I still don’t think the Colts can cover 5.5 points. Go with the Saints and the money line as well.
Now the over under… The total points for the game is at around 57 or 8+ TDs. The Saints can definitely score 4 TDs. The question here is can the Colts score 4 TDs. I am leaning towards over as I think the game will come down the wire with the Saints winning or losing by a late field goal. Go with the over despite the fact that I’ve been recommending all the Saints games to be under.

After going 3-1 last week, here are my picks for this week:
1. Colts over Jets. Lay the 8 points. I have been riding Peyton Manning’s arm all year. Jets have been playing well and (well above their heads). There is no way they can beat the Colts in Indy. Go with the money line if you are willing to lay 300+ to win 100. It’s a lock thought! Question here is will the Colts cover. I am going to say Sanchez will lay an egg this Sunday and throw a few interceptions and one of those INTs may be the bullshit TD you’ll need to cover. Go with the consistent team. Colts 24, Jets 14.
2. Vikings over Saints. Saints are red hot. Brees and co look unstoppable. However, I believe Brett Favre and co can handle the Saints. I have been telling everyone all season long that the Saints are beatable by the Vikings. I actually thought the Saints would enter this game as the only undefeated team. Take the points. Vikings should win the game outright.

After being embarrassed during Wild Card week - going 1 and 3, here are my picks for this week. I believe I can go 4-0!!
1. Colts - This is my LOCK!! I have been riding Peyton all season and strongly believe the Colts will dominate the Ravens. Ravens tried to pass the ball less than 20 times last week against the Pats. It will not work this week again the aggressive Colts D.
2. Saints - Cards burned me last weekend. I don’t think they can this weekend. Cards showed me they can’t stop anyone at home. This means they will not be stopping anyone on the road - especially the Saints. This is lock #2.
3. Cowboys - I don’t really love the Cowboys in Minney… However I like getting the field goal on a hot team. Go with them if you need to.
4. Jets - Getting 1+ TD is great for the Jets. I think the Chargers are overrated. They’ve not beaten anyone of quality the whole year. I don’t consider Eagles, Bengals, etc. quality teams. Nor do I think they can blow the Jets away. Jets actually have a chance to pull an upset.
Good luck!

It’s been awhile since I’ve blog… with the playoffs here, thought I share my predictions for this week’s Wild Card games:
1. Ravens over Pats - Pats are old and done. Ravens D should be able to take care of Brady and a Welker-less offense.
2. Bengals - The Cats are better than the Jets. Don’t think they tried last weekend. Time for them to avenge their lose.
3. Eagles - It’s tough to beat a team 3x in a year, especially someone from your Division. Go with the Eagles.
4. Packers - I think the Packers can make it to the Show! Beating the Cards last week was a great stepping stone. Look for them to repeat.
Good luck gang!
